act4ward jottings:-

Act4ward features a live updating process - with content being added or removed on a regular basis. It probably will never be finished - as new stuff appears on a regular basis. Time however is against us, and sometimes updates do not happen as we would like - so anything not covered feel free to ask questions.

The Halfling Project office is based at Ridgmont Station in Bedfordshire - right by junction 13 of the M1.

The railway is the branch line between Bedford and Bletchley and allows access to and from London and the Midlands renovated and opened in 2013 the station has a vintage tearoom and Heritage Centre/vintage ticket office museum.

It's a great location - not many have a platform location on tap for photoshoots.

However the station does suffer from lack of space which limits some work and relocation for act4ward shoots seems likely.

Visiting is easy by rail / bus from Bedford/Milton Keynes or car.

There is plenty of parking space .

Two video's that show the station in action!    Obviously they were not shot for that purpose.

The first is James Amery wandering around downstairs very late at night improvising.

The second was the first visit by team Skelton, Sonnyboy, Badger and Bud using office one - The Halfling Office.

It shows clearly the limited amount of space available for such work as this impro of Lord of the Flies.

That said, it often does not matter and what you are seeing here is the behind the scenes "wide" shot.

For larger shoots a local hall can be utilised or another station space as can be seen on some video work here.

However most video work is within the area of the background and works well.

Sonnyboy went on from this first visit to become a weekly visitor [except when filming etc] and Bud has visited since too. It was Sonny who helped form the basis for 16+ this summer [2017].

It is likely that act4ward will relocate to a larger venue befitting it's work type for commercial work
